Hide and seek with the moon

I was out in fresh air yesterday, walking with my daughter. We were on our way to her grandmother, which lives near by, to get her sledge. The weather was unusual good, no rain, blue sky, no wind, the temperature just below freezing. It was a perfect winter's day.

As we walked, I discovered we had the moon in the east and the sun in the west. The moon hang just low enough to hide behind every house we passed. My four year old giggled and laughed so heartily every time the moon appeared from behind the next house. That, and the giggling when she sat on the sledge Dad was pulling on our way home was worthwhile. It was priceless.
